I start my day in the morning taking and returning calls from clients right away. I offer intake and assessments, referrals to community agencies, legal information and Family Justice Counselling appointments. Our team once took 80+ calls in one day, so I can attest to the fact that we are a valuable service for BC.

Every day is different in my position; my role and responsibilities vary depending on the needs of the individual or group I am supporting. A typical day would involve: some one on one appointments with youth to assist them in acquiring housing, employment, or re-integration to school while providing them emotional support and basic daily needs; visiting schools and supporting administrative staff with their informational or referral needs; facilitating outreach on the street, in the youth centre and other places/spaces frequented by youth; facilitating a weekly life skills group; attending various community service provider staff and committee meetings.
